۞ But We shall say, "Assemble those who did wrong together with their associates and what they worshipped 22 apart from Allah, and direct them to the path of Hell, 23 and halt them [there]!" [And then,] behold, they shall be asked, 24 [They will be asked], "What is [wrong] with you? Why do you not help each other?" 25 Nay, but that day they shall submit (to Judgment); 26 And they will turn to one another and question one another. 27 They will say, "You used to come at us from the right." 28 Those say, 'No; on the contrary, you were not believers; 29 We had no power over you, but ye were wayward folk. 30 The statement of Our Lord is realized against us, and we are tasting it, 31 For we had led you astray. In fact we ourselves were astray." 32 Then verily, that Day, they will (all) share in the torment. 33 that is how We deal with evil-doers. 34 Indeed, when it was said to them, "There is no God except Allah", they were haughty. 35 And to say: What! shall we indeed give up our gods for the sake of a mad poet? 36 Nay! he (Muhammad SAW) has come with the truth (i.e. Allah's Religion - Islamic Monotheism and this Quran) and he confirms the Messengers (before him who brought Allah's religion - Islamic Monotheism). 37 Ye shall indeed taste of the Grievous Penalty;- 38 but you shall not be recompensed except for what you were doing. 39 But the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah,- 40 For them awaits a known provision, 41 Fruits, and they shall be highly honored, 42 in the Gardens of Bliss 43 On thrones facing one another. 44 With cups from a flowing stream being passed around, 45 White, delicious to the drinkers, 46 There will neither be any harm in it for their body nor will it intoxicate their mind. 47 They will have with them loving wives with big black and white eyes 48 As if they were [delicate] eggs, well-protected. 49 They advance one upon another, asking each other questions. 50 One of them speaks thus: "Behold, I had [on earth] a close companion 51 who used to ask, 'Do you really believe that 52 That when we have died and become dust and bones, we will indeed be recompensed?'" 53 [And] he adds: "Would you like to look [and see him]?" 54 He will look down and see him in hell. 55 He will say to his friend in hell, "By God, you almost destroyed me. 56 Had it not been for the grace of my Lord I too would have been there. 57 What, do we then not die 58 "Except our earlier death, and nor will we be punished?" 59 Verily this is the supreme achievement! 60 For the like of this let all strive, who wish to strive. 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of al-Zaqqum? 62 Verily, We have caused it to be a trial for evildoers: 63 Indeed, it is a tree issuing from the bottom of the Hellfire, 64 its fruit [as repulsive] as satans' heads; 65 Then most surely they shall eat of it and fill (their) bellies with it. 66 then on top of it they have a brew of boiling water, 67 Then shall their return be to the (Blazing) Fire. 68 Surely they found their fathers going astray, 69 and they run in their footsteps. 70 And indeed most of the men of old went astray before them; 71 although, verily, We had sent warners unto them: 72 and behold, how was the end of them that were warned, 73 except for God's sincere servants. 74
