Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 Nay, I swear by the accusing soul (that this Scripture is true). 2 Does man think that We shall not gather his bones? 3 Indeed yes, We are able to shape his fingerstips yet again! 4 None the less man chooses to deny what lies ahead of him, 5 He questions: "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 So when the sight becomes dazed, 7 And the moon will be eclipsed. 8 And the sun and the moon will be united. 9 On that day man will cry out, “Where shall I flee?” 10 No, there is no refuge. 11 Before thy Lord (alone), that Day will be the place of rest. 12 On that Day the human shall be informed of his former and latter deeds. 13 Indeed, man shall be a witness against himself, 14 Whatever the excuses he may offer. 15 Do not move your tongue with it to make haste with it, 16 Surely on Us (devolves) the collecting of it and the reciting of it. 17 When We have recited it, follow its words attentively; 18 and then, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 Truly, you love immediate gain 20 and neglect the Hereafter. 21 On that Day there shall be radiant faces, 22 Looking towards their Lord; 23 And how many faces on that Day will be woe-begone 24 knowing that a crushing calamity is about to befall them. 25 Yea, when (the soul) reaches to the collar-bone (in its exit), 26 and the angels say, "Who will take away his soul, 27 And he is sure that it is the (hour of) parting 28 And one shin will curl up with the other shin. 29 upon that Day the driving shall be to your Lord. 30
