The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those (angels) that pluck out the soul from depths, 1 And who softly release the soul. (Of the believer) 2 And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 The day the convulsive (first blast) shatters convulsively 6 And there will follow it the next blast. 7 Hearts on that day shall palpitate, 8 [and] their eyes downcast... 9 The disbelievers say, “Will we really return to our former state?” 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 and they say, "That indeed would be a losing return." 12 Indeed, it will be but one shout, 13 When, behold, they find themselves over the earth alive after their death, 14 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa! 15 Recall what time his Lord called unto him in the holy vale of Tuwa. 16 "Go unto Pharaoh - for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of what is right 17 And say to him, "Would you like to reform yourself? 18 that I may direct you to your Lord and then you hold Him in awe?'” 19 Then Moses (went to Pharaoh and) showed him the Great Sign; 20 But [Pharaoh] gave him the lie and rebelliously rejected [all guidance,] 21 Then he quickly turned his back. 22 And he summoned all his people, 23 and said, "I am your Lord All-Highest!" 24 But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life. 25 surely there is in this a lesson for the God-fearing. 26
