He it is Who hath created for you ears and eyes and hearts. Small thanks give ye! 78 And it is He Who has created you on the earth, and to Him you shall be gathered back. 79 And He it is who grants life and deals death; and to Him is due the alternation of night and day. Will you not, then, use your reason? 80 On the contrary they say things similar to what the ancients said. 81 They say, "When we die and become dust and bones, shall we then be raised up again? 82 We and our fathers were promised this before; it is nothing but ancient lore!" 83 Say, "To whom do the earth and all therein belong? Tell me, if you have any knowledge?" 84 They will say: "It is Allah's!" Say: "Will you not then remember?" 85 Say: 'Who is the Lord of the seven heavens and the Lord of the mighty Throne?' 86 [And] they will reply: "[All this power belongs] to God." Say: "Will you not, then, remain conscious of Him?" 87 Say "In Whose Hand is the sovereignty of everything (i.e. treasures of each and everything)? And He protects (all), while against Whom there is no protector, (i.e. if Allah saves anyone none can punish or harm him, and if Allah punishes or harms anyone none can save him), if you know." [Tafsir Al-Qurtubi, Vol. 12, Page 145] 88 They will say: "(All that belongs) to Allah." Say: "How then are you deceived and turn away from the truth?" 89 We have revealed to them the truth. But they are certainly liars. 90 Allah has not taken any son, nor has there ever been with Him any deity. [If there had been], then each deity would have taken what it created, and some of them would have sought to overcome others. Exalted is Allah above what they describe [concerning Him]. 91 All-Knower of the unseen and the seen! Exalted be He over all that they associate as partners to Him! 92
