1/2 Hizb 45

۞ (God will command the angels), "Gather together the unjust, their spouses, and what they had worshipped 22 apart from God, and guide them unto the path of Hell! 23 And stop them; indeed, they are to be questioned." 24 What aileth you that ye help not one another? 25 Nay, but on that Day they would willingly surrender [to God]; 26 And they will turn to one another and question one another. 27 "It was you who tried to mislead us from righteousness". 28 They will say, "No! It was you who would not believe -- 29 “And we did not have any control over you; but in fact you yourselves were rebellious.” 30 The statement of Our Lord is realized against us, and we are tasting it, 31 So then, [if it be true that] we have caused you to err grievously - behold, we ourselves had been lost in grievous error!" 32 On that day they will all share the torment. 33 Indeed, that is how We deal with the criminals. 34 Indeed, when it was said to them, “There is no God except Allah”, they were haughty. 35 And (they) said: "Are we going to abandon our aliha (gods) for the sake of a mad poet? 36 In fact he has brought the Truth, and testified for the Noble Messengers! 37 Verily, you (pagans of Makkah) are going to taste the painful torment; 38 And you will not be recompensed except for what you used to do - 39 Except the chosen creatures of God, 40 Whose provision is predetermined -- 41 and fruits while they are honored. 42 In Gardens of Felicity, 43 On thrones facing one another. 44 They will be served with a cup full of crystal clear wine, 45 clear, delightful to those who drink it: 46 causing no headiness or intoxication. 47 And with them maidens of modest look and large lustrous eyes, 48 who are as chaste as sheltered eggs. 49 So one among them turns to the other, questioning. 50 Said one of the speakers: "I had a friend 51 who used to ask, 'Do you really believe that 52 (Do you think) we would be paid back our due when we are dead and reduced to dust and bones?' 53 He says, 'Are you looking down?' 54 He looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire. 55 'By God', he said, 'you had almost ruined me. 56 But for my Lord's blessing, I were one of the arraigned. 57 "Is it (the case) that we shall not die, 58 except for our first death, and are we not chastised? 59 Indeed, this is the great attainment. 60 For the like of this let all strive, who wish to strive. 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of AzZakkum! 62 Truly We have made it (as) a trail for the Zalimun (polytheists, disbelievers, wrong-doers, etc.). 63 Lo! it is a tree that springeth in the heart of hell. 64 Its spathes are like the prickly pear. 65 Truly, they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 And thereafter verily they shall have thereon a draught of boiling water. 67 Then surely their return is towards hell. 68 They found their fathers in error, 69 and they are running in their footsteps. 70 And assuredly many of the ancients went astray before them, 71 though We had sent among them warners. 72 So behold what wise hath been the end of those who were warned. 73 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 74
