By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 and those that draw out violently, 2 By the angels who glide swimmingly, 3 And who quickly present themselves. 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 On the day when the first trump resoundeth. 6 And there will follow it the next blast. 7 On that day hearts beat painfully 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state? 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 [And] they add, "That, then, would be a return with loss!" 12 So that is not but a single shout. 13 And lo! they will be awakened. 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: 16 and directed him: “Go to Pharaoh, he has rebelled, 17 and say: "Will you purify yourself, 18 And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear. 19 Then [Musa (Moses)] showed him the great sign (miracles). 20 but he denied it and refused [the faith]. 21 Then he went back hastily. 22 and gathered his people and declared: 23 And said, "I am your most exalted lord." 24 So Allah, seized him with punishment for his last [i.e. his saying: "I am your lord, most high") (see Verse 79:24)] and first [(i.e. his saying, "O chiefs! I know not that you have a god other than I" (see Verse 28:38)] transgression. 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
