The Sun (Al-Shams)
15 verses, revealed in Mecca after Destiny (Al-Qadr) before The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the sun and his brightness, 1 And the moon when she followeth him, 2 And the day when it revealeth him, 3 And by oath of the night when it hides it 4 And the heaven and Him Who made it, 5 by the earth and Who spread it, 6 By the soul and Him Who propertioned it, 7 and how it is imbued with moral failings as well as with consciousness of God! 8 To a happy state shall indeed attain he who causes this [self] to grow in purity, 9 and failed has he who seduces it. 10 The people of Thamud rejected (the truth) as a result of their rebelliousness 11 when the most wretched of them uprose, 12 Then Allah's Messenger warned them: “Hands off the she-camel and her drink!” 13 But they gave him the lie, and hamstrung the she-camel. So their Lord destroyed them for their crime and razed their city to the ground. 14 And He does not fear the consequence thereof. 15
True are the words of God the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
