The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness] 1 The stars turn dim and scatter, 2 And when the mountains shall be made to pass away, 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 when the savage beasts are gathered 5 And when the seas are set on fire, 6 and when all human beings are coupled [with their deeds,] 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 for what sin she was killed, 9 And when the Writs shall be lain open, 10 And when the sky is stripped away 11 When Hell is set ablaze, 12 and when paradise is brought into view: 13 then shall each person know what he has brought along. 14 But nay! I swear by the stars, 15 The planets withdrawing into themselves, 16 And by the night as it departs; 17 and brightening morning, 18 That this is in truth the word of an honoured messenger, 19 with strength endowed, secure with Him who in almightiness is enthroned 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 Your companion is not mad. 22 in truth he saw him (Gabriel) on the clear horizon, 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 Nor is this the utterance of a devil worthy to be stoned. 25 So where are you going? 26 It is naught but a Reminder unto all beings, 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah willeth, the Lord of Creation. 29
Almighty God's Truth.
