The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Woe to those that deal in fraud,- 1 Those who, when they take by measure from mankind, exact the full, 2 but when they measure or weigh, give less. 3 Do not these think that they shall be raised again 4 on a fateful Day. 5 The day when everyone will stand before the Lord Of The Creation. 6 No indeed! Verily the deeds of the wicked are in the Record locked up in the prison-house! 7 And what will make thee know whatsoever the record in Sijjin is? 8 A written record. 9 Woe, on that day, to those who have rejected God's revelations 10 those who deny the Day of Judgement. 11 And none can deny it except every transgressor beyond bounds, (in disbelief, oppression and disobedience of Allah, the sinner!) 12 When Our Signs are rehearsed to him, he says, "Tales of the ancients!" 13 No! Rather, the stain has covered their hearts of that which they were earning. 14 No indeed! On that Day they will be screened off from seeing their Lord, 15 and then they shall enter Hell, 16 and it will be said to them: 'This is that which you belied' 17 Nay! Most surely the record of the righteous shall be in the Iliyin. 18 Ah, what will convey unto thee what 'Illiyin is! - 19 a written record, 20 To which bear witness those Nearest (to Allah). 21 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous will indeed be in bliss: 22 On Thrones (of Dignity) will they command a sight (of all things): 23 Thou wilt know in their faces the radiance of delight. 24 as they are given to drink of a wine sealed 25 With a sealing of musk, which those who aspire for the best should desire, -- 26 for it is composed of all that is most exalting 27 a spring, the nearest ones to God will drink from it. 28 The sinners indeed laughed at believers 29 when they passed by them they winked, 30 and, on returning to their people, boast about what they had done. 31 And whenever they saw them, they would say, "Behold! These are the people truly astray!" 32 Yet they were not sent to be their guardians. 33 But on this Day the believers will laugh at the unbelievers 34 On (high) thrones, looking (at all things). 35 Will not the Unbelievers have been paid back for what they did? 36
