The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ (Muhammad), glorify the Name of your lord, the Most High, 1 The One Who created, and then made proper. 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 Who brings out the pastures 4 Then made it dry and dark. 5 We shall make thee recite, to forget not 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 We shall make all your tasks easy. 8 So remind, if the reminder should benefit; 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 But it will be avoided by the wretched, 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 However, (the disbelievers) prefer the worldly life 16 Though the life to come is better and abiding. 17 Verily this is in Writs ancient 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
