Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Has the news of the overwhelming event reached you? 1 Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated, 2 Labouring (hard), weary,- 3 They will suffer the heat of the blazing fire 4 The while they are given, to drink, of a boiling hot spring, 5 They shall have no food but of thorns, 6 Which neither nourishes nor avails against hunger. 7 Faces on that Day shall be delighted, 8 well pleased with the result of their striving, 9 in a garden sublime, 10 hearing there no babble; 11 Countless springs will flow therein, 12 Therein will be thrones raised high, 13 And drinking-cups ready placed, 14 well-placed cushions, 15 And carpets ready spread, 16 Do they not look at the Camels, how they are made?- 17 And at the heaven, how it is raised? 18 how the mountains are set firm, 19 And at the earth, how it is outspread? 20 So, [O Prophet] exhort them: your task is only to exhort, 21 Thou art not one to manage (men's) affairs. 22 As for those who turn their back and disbelieve, 23 Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment. 24 Surely to Us is their return; 25 Then indeed only upon Us is their reckoning. 26
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
