Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Qaf. By the Glorious Qur'an, 1 Nay; they wondered that a warner should have come to them from among themselves. The unbelievers said: “This indeed is a strange thing. 2 When we are dead and turned to dust, this returning (to life) is most far-fetched." 3 We already know how much of them the earth takes away: With Us is a record guarding (the full account). 4 Nay, but they cried lies to the truth when it came to them, and so they are in a case confused. 5 Have they not then observed the sky above them, how We have constructed it and beautified it, and how there are no rifts therein? 6 And the earth! We have spread it forth, and have cast therein firm mountains, and have caused to grow therein of every beauteous kind of plants: 7 An insight and an admonition for every bondman penitent. 8 And We send down from the sky blessed water whereby We give growth unto gardens and the grain of crops, 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered dates, 10 a provision for the servants, and thereby We revived a land that was dead. Even so is the coming forth. 11 (Others) before them rejected (prophets): the people of Nuh and the dwellers of Ar-Rass and Samood, 12 And Ad and Firon and Lut's brethren, 13 the dwellers of the Thicket and the nation of Tubba', all belied their Messengers, therefore My threat was realized. 14 Are We then wearied with the first creation? Aye! they are in dubiety regarding a new creation. 15
