Nay, verily: By the Moon, 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 and the morn when it dawns! 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 it is a warning to man, 36 to whoever among you desires to go forward, or lag behind. 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 concerning the sinners, 41 “What drove you to Hell?” 42 and they shall reply, "We were not among those who prayed; 43 we fed not the needy, 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 and belied the Day of Recompense 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 So, the intercession of intercessors will not avail them. 48 Then what is wrong with them that they turn away from admonition, 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 running away from a lion? 51 In fact every one of them wants to be given open books (like the prophets). 52 By no means! Aye, they fear not the Hereafter. 53 Nay! it is surely an admonition. 54 So, whoever wills may benefit from it. 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
