And remember Our bondman Ayyub (Job); when he cried out* to his Lord, “The devil has struck me with hardship and pain.” (After seven years of patience.) 41 (The command was given:) "Strike with thy foot: here is (water) wherein to wash, cool and refreshing, and (water) to drink." 42 We restored his family to him, doubling their number as an act of grace from Us, and as a reminder to all who are endowed with insight. 43 "And take in thy hand a little grass, and strike therewith: and break not (thy oath)." Truly We found him full of patience and constancy. How excellent in Our service! ever did he turn (to Us)! 44 And remember thou Our bondmen, Ibrahim and Is-haq and Ya'qub, owners of might and insight. 45 Verily We! We distinguished them with a distinct quality: the remembrance of the Abode. 46 In Our sight they are among the chosen and excellent ones. 47 And remember Isma'il and Al-Yas'a and Zul-kifl; all of the excellent ones. 48 This was a remembrance. An excellent retreat awaits the God-fearing 49 #NAME? 50 Where they will take their ease, calling for fruits in plenty, and for wine, 51 ۞ and with them maidens restraining their glances of equal age. 52 This is what you, [the righteous], are promised for the Day of Account. 53 (It will be said to them)! Verily, this is Our Provision which will never finish; 54 All this [for the righteous]: but, verily, the most evil of all goals awaits those who are wont to transgress the bounds of what is right: 55 Gehenna, wherein they are roasted - an evil cradling! 56 This (shall be so); so let them taste it, boiling and intensely cold (drink). 57 And other (torment) of the kind in pairs (the two extremes)! 58 “Here is another group that was with you, falling along with you”; they will answer, “Do not give them plenty of open space; they surely have to enter the fire – let them also be confined!” 59 But they will say: 'No, it is you that has no welcome. It was you who brought it upon us, an evil place' 60 They will continue saying, "Lord, double the torment of fire for those who led us into this. 61 And will add: "O what has happened to us that we do not see the men we counted among the wicked. 62 Did we laugh at them (for nothing), or our eyes fail to pick them out?" 63 Such, behold, will in truth be the [confusion and] mutual wrangling of the people of the fire! 64
