Seest thou not that We have set the devils on the disbelievers to confound them with confusion? 83 So make no haste against them, for We but count out to them a (limited) number (of days). 84 On the Day whereon We shall gather the God-feaing unto the Compassionate as an embassy. 85 And drive the guilty unto hell, a weary herd, 86 They will have no power of intercession, save him who hath made a covenant with his Lord. 87 And they say: "The Most Beneficent (Allah) has begotten a son (or offspring or children) [as the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say that He has begotten a son ['Iesa (Christ)], and the pagan Arabs say that He has begotten daughters (angels, etc.)]." 88 This is certainly a monstrous lie! 89 The heavens are wellnigh rent of it and the earth split asunder, and the mountains wellnigh fall down crashing for 90 That they attribute to the Most Merciful a son. 91 And it is not worthy of the Beneficent Allah that He should take (to Himself) a son. 92 None there is in the heavens and the earth but must come unto the Compassionate as a bondman. 93 Verily He knoweth them and numbereth them with (right) numbering. 94 On the Day of Resurrection each one of these will come to Him singly. 95 The Lord of Mercy will bestow affection upon those who believe and perform righteous deeds. 96 We have therefore made this Qur’an easy upon your tongue, (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) for you to announce glad tidings with it to those who fear, and warn those who are quarrelsome. 97 And how many a generation before them have We destroyed! Canst thou (Muhammad) see a single man of them, or hear from them the slightest sound? 98
