The 'Ad (people) rejected the messengers. 123 Behold, their brother Hud said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 125 Fear Allah and obey me. 126 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists). 127 Do you construct on every elevation a sign, amusing yourselves, 128 And seek ye out strongholds, that haply ye may last for ever? 129 And when you lay hands (on men) you lay hands (like) tyrants; 130 So be fearful of God and follow me. 131 “Fear Him Who has aided you with the things you know.” 132 Gave you increase of cattle and sons, 133 “And with gardens and water-springs.” 134 I am afraid that you will suffer the torment of the Day of Judgment." 135 They said: it is equal unto us whether thou admonishest or art not of the admonishers. 136 "This is no other than the false-tales and religion of the ancients, [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 19, Page 97] 137 They rejected him and We destroyed them. 138 In this there is evidence (of the Truth), yet most of them do not have any faith. 139 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 140
