S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Sad. By the renowned Qur'an, 1 But nay - they who are bent on denying the truth are lost in [false] pride, and [hence] deeply in the wrong. 2 How many a generation have We destroyed before them, and they [then] called out; but it was not a time for escape. 3 And they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves. And the disbelievers say, "This is a magician and a liar. 4 “Has he made all the Gods into One God? This is really something very strange!” 5 Their assembly left (saying): 'Go, and be patient to your gods, this is something to be desired. 6 We have not heard of this in later religion. This is naught but an invention. 7 "What! has the Message been sent to him - (Of all persons) among us?"... but they are in doubt concerning My (Own) Message! Nay, they have not yet tasted My Punishment! 8 Or do they have the depositories of the mercy of your Lord, the Exalted in Might, the Bestower? 9 Or, is theirs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and that which is in-between the twain? If so, let them ascend by steps. 10 this host too, among other hosts, is bound to suffer defeat. 11 Before them, the people of Nooh had denied, and the tribe of A’ad, and Firaun who used to crucify. 12 And Thamud, and the people of Lout (Lot), and the dwellers of the wood; such were the confederates. 13 Each of them gave the lie to Messengers and My decree of chastisement came upon them. 14
