The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER those [stars] that rise only to set, 1 and those that blow gently, 2 by the swimmers (angels) swimming gently 3 And those who race each other in a race 4 and then manage the affairs of the Universe (according to their Lord's commands). 5 On the Day (when the first blowing of the Trumpet is blown), the earth and the mountains will shake violently (and everybody will die), 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 Hearts will pound loudly on that day, 8 and their eyes will be humbled. 9 They say: "Shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state of life? 10 What! when we are rotten bones? 11 They will say: 'Then we are returned lost' 12 [But,] then, that [Last Hour] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry 13 And lo! they will be awakened. 14 Did the news of Moosa reach you? 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 saying, "Go to the Pharaoh. He has transgressed beyond all bounds. 17 And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", 18 Then I will guide thee to thy Lord and thou shalt fear (Him). 19 Then [Musa (Moses)] showed him the great sign (miracles). 20 but he cried lies, and rebelled, 21 and brusquely turned his back [on Moses]; 22 Then he gathered (men) and called out. 23 then said: 'I am your lord, the most high' 24 you pay attention 25 Lo! herein is indeed a lesson for him who feareth. 26
