The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
When the sun is folded up, 1 The stars turn dim and scatter, 2 and the mountains have been taken, 3 And when the pregnant she-camels shall be neglected; 4 when the savage beasts shall be mustered, 5 And when the seas are set on fire, 6 And when the souls are paired 7 and when the girl-child that was buried alive is made to ask 8 Upon what sin was she killed for. 9 When the scrolls are laid open; 10 when heaven shall be stripped off; 11 And when Hell-fire shall be kindled to fierce ablaze. 12 when Paradise is brought close: 13 then shall each person know what he has brought along. 14 No! I swear by the slinkers, 15 stars which are visible during the night 16 by the night swarming, 17 and brightening morning, 18 behold, this [divine writ] is indeed the [inspired] word of a noble apostle, 19 endowed with power and held in honour by the Lord of the Throne -- 20 Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy. 21 And your comrade is not mad. 22 And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon. 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan, 25 where then are you going? 26 This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, 27 For whoever wills among you to take a right course. 28 but your wishing will not avail unless Allah, the Lord of the Universe, so wishes. 29
True are the words of God the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
