O Ye apostles! eat the good things and work righteously; verily of that which ye work I am the Knower. 51 Verily this your order is one order, and I am your Lord, so fear Me. 52 But they cut off their religion among themselves into sects, each part rejoicing in that which is with them. 53 So leave them in their error till a time. 54 Do they assume that the wealth and sons which We provide them – 55 We would hasten them on in every good? Nay, they do not understand. 56 Surely those who live in awe of their Lord, 57 And those who believe in the signs of their Lord – 58 And they who do not associate anything with their Lord 59 who spend their property for the cause of God, and whose hearts are afraid of their return 60 It is these who hasten in every good work, and these who are foremost in them. 61 And We task not any soul except according to its capacity, and with Us is a book speaking with truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 Nay, but their hearts are in perplexity as to this, and they have deeds besides that that they are doing. 63 Until, when We grasp those of them who lead a luxurious life with punishment, behold! They make humble invocation with a loud voice. 64 Do not cry out for help this day, for surely you shall not be helped by Us. 65 My revelations were recited to you, but you turned your backs 66 In arrogance; talking nonsense about the Quran, and left him like one telling fables by night. 67 Was it that you did not give any thought to it (the Quran)? Was it different from what was revealed to your fathers? 68 Or did you not recognize your Messenger and, thus, denied him (Muhammad) 69 Or, say they: in him is madness? O Aye he brought them the truth, and most of them to the truth are averse. 70 And if the Truth had followed their desires, verily the heavens and the earth and whosoever is therein had been corrupted. Nay, We have brought them their Reminder, but from their Reminder they now turn away. 71 (Do they disbelieve because) you asked them for payment? The reward that you will receive from your Lord is the best. He is the best Provider. 72 But verily thou callest them to the Straight Way; 73 but those who disbelieve in the Everlasting Life deviate from the Path. 74 ۞ And though We had mercy on them and removed the distress which is on them, still they would obstinately persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. 75 And already We overtook them with chastisement, but they were not submissive to their Lord, nor do they humble themselves. 76 Until when We shall open upon them a portal of severe torment, and lo! thereat they are desparing. 77
