Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
I CALL TO witness those who scatter by dispersing, 1 And those who bear the load, 2 And those that glide with ease (upon the sea) 3 and the partitioners, 4 Indeed, what you are promised is true. 5 the Judgement will surely come to pass -- 6 The heavens webbed-with-tracks is witness 7 surely you are deeply at variance [as to what to believe] -- 8 Through which are deluded (away from the Truth) such as would be deluded. 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 who are dazed in perplexity 11 'When will the Day of Judgement be' they ask. 12 It will be the Day whereon in the Fire they will be burned 13 Taste your persecution! this is what you would hasten on. 14 Surely the God-fearing will find themselves in the midst of gardens and springs. 15 Taking that which their Lord will vouchsafe unto hem. Verily they have been before that well-doers. 16 they used to sleep but little by night, 17 And used to seek forgiveness before dawn. 18 And in their wealth the beggar and the outcast had due share. 19 There are many Signs on earth for those of sure faith, 20 And in yourselves. Then will you not see? 21 And in heaven is your provision, and that you are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this is certainly true even as you speak. 23
