▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ So I call the placement of the stars to witness -- 75 - which is indeed a great oath if only you knew it - 76 That (this) is indeed an honourable recital (the Noble Quran). 77 in a hidden Book 78 None may touch it, except with ablution. 79 It has been revealed by the Lord of all the worlds. 80 Do you, then, take this discourse in light esteem, 81 Do you make its denial your means of livelihood? 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat, 83 and you are watching at that time 84 We are closer to him than you, even though you cannot see? 85 Then why, if you are not indebted (to Us for life), 86 do you not cause the soul to return to him if you are truthful in your claim? 87 Thus, then, if he be of those Nearest to Allah, 88 (There is for him) rest and provision, and a Garden of delights (Paradise). 89 and if he be a Companion of the Right: 90 he will be welcomed by the words: “Peace to you” from the People on the Right. 91 And if he be of the beliers, the erring, 92 Then the welcome will be boiling water 93 And burning in Hell-fire. 94 Verily, this is indeed the truth of truths! 95 Wherefore hallow thou the name of thy Lord, the Mighty! 96
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
