Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sun shall be wound round, 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 and when the mountains are made to vanish, 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 And when the wild beasts are herded together, 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 And when the souls are paired. 7 when the buried infant shall be asked 8 such as, "For what crime were they murdered?" 9 And when the pages are made public 10 and when Heaven is laid bare; 11 And when the Scorch shall be made to blaze, 12 And Paradise brought near, 13 then shall each person know what he has brought along. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 Who move straight and stop. 16 and by the night as it recedes, 17 and brightening morning, 18 That this is in truth the word of an honoured messenger, 19 The mighty, the honoured in the presence of the Lord of the Throne. 20 who is obeyed there and is worthy of trust. 21 Your Companion is not mad, 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 he is not niggardly of the Unseen. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 This is certainly the guidance for all (jinn and mankind). 27 For the one among you who wishes to become upright. 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
