Indeed, the tree of zaqqum 43 will be the food of the sinful: 44 Like molten brass; it will boil in their insides. 45 Like the boiling of hot water. 46 (A voice will cry: "Seize ye him and drag him into the midst of the Blazing Fire! 47 Then pour the punishment of boiling water over his head, 48 (Saying): 'Taste, surely you are the mighty and noble! 49 Verily this is that whereof ye were wont to doubt. 50 Surely those who fear and follow the straight path will be in a place of peace and security 51 amidst gardens and fountains, 52 dressed in silks and brocade, set face to face. 53 Thus shall it be. And We shall pair them with companions pure, most beautiful of eye. 54 They shall call therein for every fruit in security; 55 They shall not taste therein of death, save the first death, And He shall guard them against the chastisement of Hell -- 56 God will protect them from the torment of hell as a favor from your Lord. (Muhammad), this is certainly the greatest triumph. 57 We have made the Quran easy for you to recite so that perhaps they may take heed. 58 Wait, then; they too are waiting. 59

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
