The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
When the sun is overthrown, 1 the stars are made to fade away, 2 and when the mountains are made to vanish, 3 the young barren camels are abandoned, 4 The wild beasts stampede on the run, 5 and when the seas are set on fire, 6 When the souls are sorted out, (being joined, like with like); 7 when the buried female infant is asked 8 for what crime she had been slain, 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 when the sky is unveiled, 11 When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat; 12 And when the Garden is brought nigh, 13 [on that Day] every human being will come to know what he has prepared [for himself]. 14 I swear by the receding stars. 15 Who move straight and stop. 16 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 17 And by the dawn as it brightens; 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 obeyed by (all creatures) and faithful to His trust. 21 Your companion is not possessed; 22 he truly beheld [the angel - beheld] him on the clear horizon; 23 Nor of the unseen is he a tenacious concealer. 24 Nor is it the word of an evil spirit accursed. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 But you cannot will it unless God, the Sustainer of all the worlds, wills [to show you that way]. 29
