Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, 1 The One Who created, and then made proper. 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 who brings forth green pasture, 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 except what Allah wills, surely, He knows all that is (spoken) aloud and what is hidden. 7 And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. 8 Therefore remind (men) in case the reminder profits (them). 9 He who fears will mind, 10 but the reprobates will turn away 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself, 14 And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 but the Everlasting Life is better, and more enduring. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
