The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

THE STARTLING CALAMITY. 1 What is the Calamity? 2 Would that you knew what the crash is! 3 It is a Day whereon mankind will be like moths scattered about, 4 and the mountains like tufts of carded wool. 5 Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds], 6 will have a most pleasing life. 7 And for one whose scales prove light, 8 He is in the lap of one that abases. 9 And what do you know what that is? 10 A Blazing Fire! 11
