Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The excessive gathering (of increase and boasting) occupied you (from worshipping and obeying) 1 Until you come to the graves. 2 No indeed; but soon you shall know. 3 Indeed you will come to know soon. 4 No indeed; did you know with the knowledge of certainty, 5 you would indeed, most surely, behold the blazing fire [of hell]! 6 Aye, ye will behold it with sure vision. 7 Then on that Day you shall be questioned about your worldly favours. 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
