And when the sent angels came to the house of Lut. 61 he said: "Behold, you are people unknown [here]!" 62 They replied, "We have come to you about the matter which the (unbelievers) have rejected. 63 We truly tell you that we have brought to you the Truth. 64 "So leave with your family late in the night, yourself remaining in the rear, and let none turn back to look, and go where you will be commanded." 65 We communicated to him Our decree that the guilty ones would be destroyed by the morning. 66 The inhabitants of the city came in (mad) joy (at news of the young men). 67 Exclaimed [Lot]: "Behold, these are my guests: so put me not to shame, 68 Fear God and do not shame me." 69 They said, 'Have we not forbidden thee all beings?' 70 He said, "Here are my daughters, if you must act in this way." 71 Verily, by your life (O Muhammad SAW), in their wild intoxication, they were wandering blindly. 72 and the Cry seized them at the sunrise, 73 Thus did We turn it upside down, and rained down upon them stones of what had been decreed. 74 Indeed in this are signs for people who perceive. 75 And verily! They (the cities) were right on the highroad (from Makkah to Syria i.e. the place where the Dead Sea is now). 76 Behold! in this is a sign for those who believed. 77 The dwellers of the Thicket were harmdoers. 78 So We exacted retribution from them. They were both on an open highway, plain to see. 79

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
