۞ Those people, who have no fear of coming before Us, say, "Why should not the angels be sent down to us? Or else we should see our Lord. " Great arrogance have they assumed in regard to themselves, and have transgressed all limits in their rebellion. 21 Upon the day that they see the angels, no good tidings that day for the sinners; they shall say, 'A ban forbidden!' 22 for We shall have turned towards all the [supposedly good] deeds they ever wrought, and shall have transformed them into scattered dust 23 The dwellers of Paradise on that day will have the best residence and resting place. 24 On a Day when the sky will split open with its clouds and the angels are sent down rank upon rank, 25 That Day, the dominion as of right and truth, shall be (wholly) for (Allah) Most Merciful: it will be a Day of dire difficulty for the misbelievers. 26 The sinner will then bite his hand and say: "Would that I had taken the road with the Prophet. 27 Oh, woe to me! I wish I had not taken that one as a friend. 28 he made me forgetful of the warning after it had reached me. Satan is man's great betrayer." 29 The Messengers will say, "Lord, my people had abandoned this Quran." 30 Thus have We made for every Prophet an enemy among the Mujrimun (disbelievers, polytheists, criminals, etc.). But Sufficient is your Lord as a Guide and Helper. 31 The unbelievers have said, "Why was the whole Quran not revealed to him at once?" We have revealed it to you in gradual steps to strengthen your hearts and give you explanations. 32 And they will never bring you an example, but We shall bring you a true narration and better than it. 33 (As for) those who shall be gathered upon their faces to hell, they are in a worse plight and straying farther away from the path. 34
