Allah it is Who hath appointed for you cattle, that ye may ride on some of them, and eat of others 79 And in them are numerous benefits for you, and for you to reach your hearts’ desires while riding them – and you ride upon them and upon the ships. 80 And He shows you His signs; so which sign of Allah will you deny? 81 Did they not travel in the land to see what sort of fate befell those before them? They were more than these in number, and they exceeded them in strength and the signs they left behind in the earth – so what benefit did they get from what they earned? 82 When their Messengers brought them clear verses they rejoiced in such knowledge as they had; but they were encompassed by that which they mocked. 83 And then, when they [clearly] beheld Our punishment, they said: "We have come to believe in the One God, and we have renounced all belief in that to which we were wont to ascribe a share in His divinity!" 84 But their belief profited them naught when they saw our prowess. This hath been Allah's dispensation that hath been in regard to His bondmen. And then there were lost the infidels. 85
