The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the angels who drag forth vehemently. 1 and gently take it away; 2 By the angels who glide swimmingly, 3 and yet overtake [one another] with swift overtaking: 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 On the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world], 6 Followed by the second blast, 7 (Some) hearts that Day will shake with fear and anxiety. 8 and their eyes will be humbled. 9 The disbelievers say, “Will we really return to our former state?” 10 When we have become bones decayed! 11 They say: Then that would be a vain proceeding. 12 But it shall be only a single scare, 13 When, behold, they find themselves over the earth alive after their death, 14 Has there reached you the story of Moses? - 15 when his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa, 16 "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds: 17 And say to him, "Would you like to reform yourself? 18 I shall guide you to your Lord so that you may perhaps have fear of Him". 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed. 21 He then turned away, striving in his effort. 22 and gathered his people and declared: 23 then said: 'I am your lord, the most high' 24 But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life. 25 Surely in that is a lesson for him who fears! 26
