Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 even till you visit the tombs. 2 Nay! You shall come to know! 3 Indeed you will come to know soon. 4 Nay! if you had known with a certain knowledge, 5 You will surely see the Hellfire. 6 Then you will see it with the eye of certainty. 7 and on that Day you will most surely be called to account for [what you did with] the boon of life! 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
