Al-Mu' minoon 6 of 6
Say: O my Lord! if Thou shouldst make me see what they are threatened with: 93 do not, O my Sustainer, let me be one of those evildoing folk!" 94 Surely We are able to show you what We warn them against. 95 [But whatever they may say or do,] repel the evil [which they commit] with something that is better: We are fully aware of what they attribute [to Us]. 96 And say: 'O my Lord, I take refuge in Thee from the evil suggestions of the Satans, 97 And I seek refuge in Thee, my Lord, lest they be present with me, 98 When death comes to any of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back 99 that I should do righteousness in that I forsook' No! It is only a word which he will speak. Behind them there shall stand a barrier till the Day that they shall be resurrected. 100 And when the Horn is blown, on that Day their ties of kindred shall be no more, nor will they ask each other. 101 It will be an Hour when those whose scales are heavy, they alone will attain success; 102 whereas they whose weight is light in the balance - it is they who will have squandered their own selves, [destined] to abide in hell: 103 The Fire will burn their faces, and they will therein grin, with their lips displaced. 104 [It will be said]. "Were not My verses recited to you and you used to deny them?" 105 They will say, "Our Lord, our wretchedness overcame us, and we were a people astray. 106 O our Lord! take us forth from it; then if we return, we shall be wrong-doers indeed. 107 He will say, "Remain despised therein and do not speak to Me. 108 Verily! There was a party of My slaves, who used to say: "Our Lord! We believe, so forgive us, and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of all who show mercy!" 109 But you took them for a laughing-stock, till they made you forget My remembrance, mocking at them. 110 Now today I have recompensed them for their patient endurance; they are the triumphant.' 111 [Allah] will say, "How long did you remain on earth in number of years?" 112 They will reply: 'A day, or part of a day; ask those who have kept count' 113 He will say: ye tarried a little indeed; would that ye had known that. 114 Then did you think that We created you uselessly and that to Us you would not be returned?" 115 So Most Supreme is Allah, the True King; there is no God except Him; Lord of the Throne of Honour. 116 Whoever worships another god apart from God, for which he holds no proof, will have to account for it before his Lord. Verily the unbelievers will not prosper. 117 So say: "O my Lord! grant Thou forgiveness and mercy for Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!" 118

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
