Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Did We not expand thy breast for thee 1 and removed your burden 2 that weighed down your back? 3 And raised high your fame? 4 But lo! with hardship goeth ease, 5 Verily, with the hardship, there is relief (i.e. there is one hardship with two reliefs, so one hardship cannot overcome two reliefs). 6 Then when thou becometh relieved, toil; 7 And incline towards your Lord. 8
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
