The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By those [angels] lined up in rows 1 and those who drive away [the wicked] with reproof 2 and those who recite the Remembrance 3 Verily your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of what between them is Lord of the Easts. 5 Verily We! We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment: the stars. 6 and guarded it against all rebellious devils: 7 [So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side, 8 And kept far away. There is perpetual punishment for them, 9 Except him who snatcheth away a word by stealth, and him then pursueth a glowing flame. 10 Then ask them whether they are stronger in creation or those (others) whom We have created. Surely We created them of firm clay. 11 Nay, but thou dost marvel when they mock 12 And, when they are admonished, pay no heed,- 13 And when they see a sign, they ridicule 14 And say, "This is not but obvious magic. 15 Why - after we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 16 And our forefathers [as well]?" 17 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Yes, and you shall then be humiliated." 18 It will be but one Shout, then see, they are watching 19 They will say: "Woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense!" 20 (It will be said): "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
