The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Highest, 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 who determined and guided, 3 And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 Neither dying therein nor living. 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 and mentions the Name of his Lord, and prays. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
