Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Has the news of the overwhelming event reached you? 1 Many a face will be disgraced on that day. 2 be toiling and worn-out; 3 Scorched by burning fire, 4 The while they are given, to drink, of a boiling hot spring, 5 They will have no food except bitter thorn, 6 which gives no strength and neither stills hunger. 7 Faces on that day jocund, 8 Glad with their endeavour (for their good deeds which they did in this world, along with the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism). 9 In a lofty garden, 10 wherein they shall hear no vain talk. 11 A gushing fountain shall be there 12 Therein will be thrones raised high, 13 Goblets placed (ready), 14 and arranged cushions 15 and rich carpets levelled out. 16 Look they not at the camels, how they are created? 17 And at the sky - how it is raised? 18 And the mountains, how they were fixed; 19 And the earth, how it is made a vast expanse? 20 (Muhammad), preach; you are only a preacher. 21 You are not a watcher over them; 22 As for those who turn their back and disbelieve, 23 Him Allah shall torment with the greatest torment. 24 Indeed, to Us they shall return, 25 Then, surely, it is for Us to call them to account. 26
