The people of Lot rejected the Messengers. 160 When their brother Lut said unto them: fear ye not? 161 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 162 So fear God and listen to me. 163 And I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds; 164 "Go you in unto the males of the 'Alamin (mankind), 165 And leave what your Lord has created for you of your wives? Nay, you are a people exceeding limits. 166 They said, 'If thou givest not over, Lot, thou shalt assuredly be one of the expelled.' 167 He said: "I am one of those who abhor your practice. 168 'My Lord, save me and my people from that they are doing' 169 Then We delivered him and all his family 170 Except an old woman who lingered behind. 171 We then destroyed the others. 172 and We rained on them a rain; and evil is the rain of them that are warned. 173 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 174 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 175
