And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 They were two of Our believing servants. 122 Verily Elias is one of the apostles. 123 When he said to his people, “Do you not fear?” 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 when We delivered him and his people all together, 134 save an old woman among those that tarried; 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And most surely you pass by them in the morning, 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
