The warnings came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 They belied Our signs everyone thereof; whereof We laid hold of them with the grip of the Mighty, Powerful. 42 Are your disbelievers better than they were, or have you been given exemption in the Books? 43 Do they say, "We shall be victorious because we are united?" 44 The army will be routed and put to flight. 45 In fact their promise is upon the Last Day – and the Last Day is very severe and very bitter! 46 The evil-doers are victims of error and madness. 47 On that Day they will be dragged into the fire faces foremost, (and told:) "Taste the feel of Hell." 48 We have created everything in due measure; 49 And Our Commandment is but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 We did indeed destroy many like you. Is there, then, any who will heed? 51 All things they do are (recorded) in the books; 52 and everything, great and small, is inscribed. 53 Surely those who shun disobedience will dwell amidst Gardens and running streams 54 honorably seated in the presence of the All-dominant King. 55
