Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 until an appointed time? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
