The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
When the sun Kuwwirat (wound round and lost its light and is overthrown). 1 And when the stars darken, 2 The mountains made to move, 3 when the ten-months pregnant camels shall be abandoned, 4 when the savage beasts shall be brought together, 5 And when the seas are set afire. 6 And when souls are reunited, 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 for what crime she had been slain, 9 and when the scrolls of (men's) deeds shall be unfolded, 10 The curtain drawn back from the skies, 11 And when hell is further enflamed. 12 And when Paradise is brought near, 13 then, each soul shall know what it has produced. 14 But nay! I swear by the stars, 15 And by the planets that move swiftly and hide themselves, 16 and the night as it darkly falls, 17 And the morning when it brightens, 18 Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, 19 who is honored in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 who is obeyed there and is worthy of trust. 21 And your comrade is not mad. 22 And indeed he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] in the clear horizon (towards the east). 23 And he is of the unseen not a tenacious concealer. 24 Nor is this the word of a stoned satan. 25 When whither go ye? 26 It is naught but a Reminder unto all beings, 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 Though you cannot desire except as God will, the Lord of all the worlds. 29
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
