The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the racers, panting, 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 as they gallop to make raids at dawn, 3 and raising clouds of dust, 4 And penetrate forthwith into the midst (of the foe) en masse;- 5 Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord 6 And most surely he is a witness of that. 7 And is intractable in his love of worldly goods. 8 ۞ Does he not know when the contents of the graves are laid bare 9 and all that is in the hearts is made public, 10 indeed, on that Day their Lord will be aware of them! 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
