Al-Waaqe'ah 2 of 3
A multitude of those of old 39 and many from the later generations. 40 BUT AS FOR those who have persevered in evil - what of those who have persevered in evil? 41 They will find themselves in scorching wind and scalding water, 42 and a shade of thick, pitch-black smoke, 43 which will neither be cool nor soothing. 44 Surely they were before that made to live in ease and plenty. 45 And they persisted in the great violation. 46 And they used to say: "When we die and become dust and bones, shall we then indeed be resurrected? 47 And our forefathers [as well]?" 48 (Muhammad), say, "All the ancient and later generations 49 Are going to be assembled on the appointed time of a Day Known. 50 Then shall you, O you who err and call it a lie! 51 you will indeed have to taste of the tree of deadly fruit, 52 And fill (your) bellies with it; 53 And drinking on top of it from scalding water 54 drink it as the most insatiably thirsty camels drink!" 55 Such will be their dwelling on the Day of Judgment. 56 We created you, then why do you believe not? 57 Did you ever consider the sperm that you emit? 58 Is it you who create it (i.e. make this semen into a perfect human being), or are We the Creator? 59 We have incorporated death in your constitution, and We shall not be hindered 60 In order that We may bring in your place the likes of you and make you grow into what you know not. 61 You have certainly known the first creation. Why, then, do you not take heed? 62 See ye the seed that ye sow in the ground? 63 Is it you who makes it grow, or are We the grower? 64 Did We will, We would make it broken orts, and you would remain bitterly jesting -- 65 (And say:) "We have fallen into debt; 66 nay, we are deprived [altogether]." 67 Consider the water that you drink. 68 Did you send it down from the clouds, or did We send it? 69 If We willed, We verily could make it salt (and undrinkable), why then do you not give thanks (to Allah)? 70 Behold! the fire which ye strike out: 71 Is it you who have brought into being the tree that serves as its fuel - or are We the cause of its coming into being? 72 We have made it a memorial (of Our handiwork), and an article of comfort and convenience for the denizens of deserts. 73 Therefore glorify the name of your Lord, the Great. 74

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
