The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 by the Promised Day, 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 when they were seated over it 6 And they witnessed (all) that they were doing against the Believers. 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and believing women (by torturing them and burning them), and then do not turn in repentance, (to Allah), will have the torment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning Fire. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 and He is the All-forgiving, the All-loving, 14 Honorable Owner of the Throne, 15 Effecter of what He intends. 16 Have you not heard the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh, and of [the tribe of] Thamud? 18 And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 Inscribed in a tablet preserved. 22
