The Sun (Al-Shams)
15 verses, revealed in Mecca after Destiny (Al-Qadr) before The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sun and its rising brightness 1 And the moon when she followeth him, 2 by the day when it brightens the earth, 3 By the Night as it conceals it; 4 And the heaven and Him Who made it, 5 By the earth and Him Who spread it forth, 6 And [by] the soul and He who proportioned it 7 and imbued it with (the consciousness of) its evil and its piety: 8 prosperous is he who purified it, 9 and truly lost is he who buries it [in darkness]. 10 The people of Thamud rejected (the truth) as a result of their rebelliousness 11 when their arch-criminal rose up in rage. 12 And the messenger of Allah said: It is the she-camel of Allah, so let her drink! 13 But they denied him and hamstrung her. So their Lord brought down upon them destruction for their sin and made it equal [upon all of them]. 14 And He fears not its consequence. 15
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
