The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I CALL THE night to witness when it covers over, 1 by the day when it appears radiant, 2 And by Who created the male and female, 3 you strive in various ways. 4 Yet he who gives to others and has fear, 5 And accepts the best, 6 for him shall We make easy the path towards [ultimate] ease. 7 But he who does not give and is unconcerned, 8 and rejects what is right, 9 for him shall We make easy the path towards hardship: 10 his wealth shall not avail him when he perishes. 11 Verily We take upon Ourselves to guide, 12 And indeed the Hereafter and this world both belong to Us. 13 Therefore I warn you of the fire that flames: 14 in which none shall be roasted except the most wretched sinner, 15 Who give the lie to Truth and turn their backs. 16 and from which the cautious shall be distanced. 17 He who spends his wealth for increase in self-purification, 18 And no one has with him any boon for which he should be rewarded, 19 Except the seeking of the pleasure of his Lord, the Most High. 20 and he shall surely be satisfied. 21
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
