T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta, Ha. 1 We have not Sent down on thee the Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed. 2 But only as an admonition to those who fear (Allah),- 3 A revelation from Him (Allah) Who has created the earth and high heavens. 4 The Most Merciful [who is] above the Throne established. 5 Unto Him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth, and whatsoever is between them, and whatsoever is beneath the sod. 6 If thou pronounce the word aloud, (it is no matter): for verily He knoweth what is secret and what is yet more hidden. 7 Allah! There is no Allah save Him. His are the most beautiful names. 8 And has the story of Musa come to you? 9 When he saw a fire he said to his family: "You wait here. I have seen a fire. I may haply be able to bring an ember from it, or find direction by the fire." 10 So when he came near the fire, it was announced, “O Moosa!” 11 Surely I am your Lord, therefore put off your shoes; surely you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa, 12 I have chosen you. Therefore, listen to what shall be revealed. 13 “Indeed it is Me, Allah – there is no God except I – therefore worship Me and keep the prayer established for My remembrance.” 14 The Hour is coming. But I choose to keep it hidden, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with his labours. 15 Let him who does not believe in it and follows his lust not turn your thought away from it, lest you are ruined. 16 What is that in your right hand, Moses' 17 He said, "It is my staff; I lean upon it, and I bring down leaves for my sheep and I have therein other uses." 18 He said: "Moses, throw it down." 19 and he cast it down, and behold it was a serpent sliding. 20 'Take it, and do not fear' He said, 'We will restore it to its former state. 21 And draw in your hand to your side; it will come out white without disease - another sign, 22 "In order that We may show thee (two) of our Greater Signs. 23 Go to Firon, surely he has exceeded all limits. 24
