▼ 37 The Arrangers
Al-Saaffaat 5 of 5
And Jonah too was one of the Messengers. 139 He abandoned his people 140 So he shared (with them), but was of those who are cast off. 141 The fish then swallowed him and he blamed himself. (For not waiting for Allah’s command.) 142 And had he not been of those who hallow Him, 143 he would have tarried in its belly until the day they shall be raised; 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore in a state of sickness, 145 And We made a gourd tree grow over him. 146 And We sent him towards a hundred thousand people, in fact more. 147 And they believed; so We permitted them to enjoy (their life) for a while. 148 Now ask them their opinion: Is it that thy Lord has (only) daughters, and they have sons?- 149 Or created We the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Now surely it is of their own lie that they say: 151 'Allah has begotten' They are truly liars. 152 Does He prefer sons to daughters? 153 What is the matter with you, how is it that you judge? 154 Will you not, then, bethink yourselves? 155 Do you have any clear authority for such claims? 156 Then bring your book, if you are truthful. 157 And they imagine kinship between him and the jinn, whereas the jinn know well that they will be brought before (Him). 158 Glory be to God above that they describe, 159 except for God's sincere servants. 160 So neither you nor those you worship 161 cannot mislead anyone 162 Except those who are predestined to burn in Hell! 163 None of us is there, but has a known station; 164 We are surely those who are arranged in ranks. 165 We glorify God." 166 And indeed they used to say: 167 Had we a reminder from those of yore, 168 We would have been the chosen servants of Allah." 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers, 171 That verily they! they shall be made triumphant. 172 And that Our host, they verily would be the victors. 173 So withdraw from them (O Muhammad) awhile, 174 Watch them: they will soon see. 175 Do they really wish to hasten Our punishment? 176 When that chastisement will descend upon their courtyard, evil shall that Day be for those who had been warned. 177 So turn (O Muhammad SAW) away from them for a while, 178 and see, soon they shall see! 179 Glorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him) 180 So peace be on the messengers, 181 And all praise unto Allah the Lord of the worlds. 182

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
